By MFA Staff Writer Leave a Comment

Publisher Random House is partnering with television production and distribution company Freemantle to launch a television division that will focus on creating TV shows based on Random House books.

Freemantle is part of the RTL Group, Europe’s largest TV and radio broadcast company. As part of its agreement with Random House, the company will have a first-look deal on the newly developed properties. Current Random House authors will be invited to develop properties for the new division.

Random House Television will be part of Random House Studio, the entertainment division formerly known as Random House Films. Read more about this new venture here: Random House Launches TV Division.
