The Power in Failure

By MFA Staff Writer Leave a Comment

Failing is a harsh word and failure in general is something that most people fear. And yet, failure happens to everyone in some shape or form. You might find that there is actually power in failure. Perhaps we need to rethink our relationship with failure and look at it for what it really is…an opportunity to reevaluate and change course.

Power “Failures”

Steve Jobs

J.K.  Rowling

Bill Gates

Michael Jordan

Albert Einstein

Abraham Lincoln

Each one of these famous people had major set-backs in their lives. With perseverance and a healthy dose of inspiration, set-backs can shape your future and turn a failure into a major success story.

Take a look at this info-graphic reprinted with permission of the talented Bella Campbell who created it for OnlineMBAToday. Here, she shows us the fairly high percentage of businesses and start-ups that fail as well as some individual “failures” that I bet most of us would strive to be like.
