April:

City of Lights – City of Angels French Film Festival
A week of French movie premieres in Hollywood. COLCOA is one of the largest French film festivals in the world with an exclusive program of 50 films, including World, North American and U.S. Premieres. All films are presented with English subtitles.

L.A. Comedy Shorts Film Festival
The L.A. Comedy Shorts Film Festival, currently the largest comedy film festival in the US, is dedicated to celebrating funny, short films and the people who make them. Includes four days of screenings, parties, industry panels, and a red-carpet awards event. L.A. Comedy Shorts also hosts the Movie Magic Screenwriter Screenplay Competition

Festival of Film Noir
The annual Festival of Film Noir organized by American Cinematheque at the Egyptian Theatre presents rare original films, most of which are not available on DVD, including films which have been recently restored by the Film Noir Foundation and the UCLA Film & Television Archive.

Going Green Film Fest
With the motto “REthink, REplenish, REcommit”, the MIRACLE MILE GOING GREEN FILM FESTIVAL encourages green filmmaking by rewarding filmmakers who have lessened their carbon footprint on the planet during production, used alternative transportation within the storyline of their films, or have created a film whose subject includes the environment, third world issues, wildlife, etc.

International Family Film Festival
This is a screenplay competition and a reading of finalist scripts with workshops and mentoring of screenwriters, culminating in a day-long pitch festival and final awards ceremony.

Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF)
A 10-day event held at the historic Egyptian Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard, home of the American Cinematheque. The festivities begin with the premiere presentation of an award-winning film, followed by a gala.

Amazigh Film Festival

A 5-day celebration of movies, specializing in rare, unusual and unjustly forgotten movies from the silent and early sound era.

Los Angeles International Short Film Festival
The largest short film festival in the world, screening over 400 short films with informational panel discussions, workshops, and a development market.

Santa Catalina Film Festival
Held on Catalina Island, covers all genres, but also includes a sub-festival on conservation celebrating “filmmakers dedicated to promoting their goal of protecting, restoring, and experiencing the power of nature.”

Burbank International Film Festival
